I’m reading loads about self-driving cars at the moment – how the technology is getting better all the time, etc.
Not much is being written about the wider user case as far as I can see.
It occurs to me that one of the biggest opportunities might be in the hotel/motel sector.
Imagine, for instance, if a room was no longer a fixed thing. Imagine a room that moves. You might arrive at a motel, ‘board’ your room, and wake up the next morning in another city. Hotels and motels, in part, might become parking lots for mobile rooms.
My prediction is this: in five years Holiday Inn or another major hotel chain will launch a mobile room service which they’ll call GoTel. I hope they come to us to promote the launch.
